5. Indian Institute of Technology Madras

Established with the motto "Success is born out of action" in the year 1959, Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a public engineering institute situated in Chennai which was earlier known as Madras and is one of the best engineering colleges in Chennai. IIT Madras is stretched over an area of 617 acres and has 550 faculty, 8,000 students and 1,250 administrative staff.

6. Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

7. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is the sixth IIT established in India in the year 1994 by the government of India is a school of engineering. It is a public engineering institution with the motto "Knowledge is power". It is situated in the beautiful state of India, Assam in the city called Guwahati.

8. Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad

To enter Birla Institute of Technology and Science one must clear BITSAT which is an All-India computerized entrance examination conducted and assessed by Birla Institute of Technology and Science itself.
